Torbalı Vineyard

The birthplace of Lucien Arkas Vineyards. Located around the ancient city of Metropolis, Torbalı Vineyard is home to premium grape varieties cultivated through organic viticulture practices.

Lucien Arkas Vineyards was established in 2006 in Torbalı, İzmir, near the ancient city of Metropolis. Spanning a single 1,168-decare plot, it is recognized as one of Türkiye’s largest certified organic vineyards. The estate features a modern 2,500 m² winery with an annual processing capacity of approximately 1.2 million kg of grapes and production capacity of up to 1.5 million bottles of wine.

The vineyards cultivate a wide range of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Marselan, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, and Tannat, as well as white varieties such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Ugni Blanc (Trebbiano), and Bornova Misketi. Several of these varieties were introduced here for the first time in Türkiye at a commercial scale.
